PrairieFest Duck Race
Don't miss this fun family event! One "Lucky Duck" could win $10,000!
Each year's duck race will take place on Father's Day Sunday at approximately 2:00 pm—just after the PrairieFest parade. Onlookers are encouraged to watch from the Washington Street pedestrian bridge and Hudson Park along the riverbank.
Proceeds from the event will be distributed between the Rotary Club of Oswego and the Aflac Children’s Cancer Hospital.
At the sound of the starter pistol, over 3,000 plastic ducks will be dropped into the Fox River for a race downstream toward the finish line. Prizes are awarded to the ticket holders of the first, second and third duck to cross the finish line. The first place winner could win the "Lucky Duck" prize of $10,000 if their number matches one of ten pre-selected numbers in a sealed envelope. If the number does not match, they win the first place prize. Ticket holders need not be present to win.
Tickets are $5 per duck OR a you may purchase a Quack Pack – 5 ducks for $20.
Tickets are sold at the Rotary booth throughout PrairieFest. Advance tickets may be purchased prior to the event each year. Check the website for updates as next year's race approaches.
