November - Dictionary Project
The Oswego Rotary Club, as many Rotary Clubs around the country, donate a dictionary to every 3rd Grader in their local school district. In District 308, serving Oswego and surrounding communities, over 1,300 dictionaries were purchased, labeled with the Rotary 4-Way Test and delivered to the District 308 Administrative offices for distribution. It is amazing some of the letters of thanks that the club receives - just a wonderful way that the Rotary Club can perform service in the local community. The Oswego Rotary Club has done this for the last 5 years and plan to continue doing so!

October/January - Coats for Kendall
In our efforts to help the community in which we live and work the Rotary Club of Oswego has an annual winter wear clothing collection that is distributed through the Kendall County Food Pantry and the Kendall County Health and Human Services office.
Please look for collection boxes at local merchants and organizations as well as the District 308 schools from October through early January. Collections sites are always posted on our web site as well.
June - Prairiefest Duck Race
As part of the annual Oswego PrairieFest event in June the Rotary Club of Oswego hosts an exciting Fox River Duck Race. This year’s event took place just after the parade so everyone could walk down to the Hudson Park and oversee the finish line of the race. 2,000 plastic ducks were released upstream from the bridge and in about 10 minutes we had winners for first, second and third places. All net proceeds are donated to area charities through the Rotary Club of Oswego.
Congratulations to the following winners of the 2009 Duck Race:
1st Place - John Cuff - $500.00
2nd Place – Mark Behrens - $250.00
3rd Place – Chris Paige - $100.00
Please note that Mark Behrens donated his winnings back to the The Rotary Club of Oswego Foundation.
